We went Kenai on the very last week of the season, maybe the last run already! We only got 3 Fish!!! 3 Fish!!!
WE'll definitely be back again!! WE need more fish !!!!!!!

Hooligan aka Smelts also called "candle fish"

Every year in Alaska, we're allowed to dipnetting for Hooligan aka Smelts over 20 miles creek. 

(15th June is the last day to do Hooligan)

Every family is only entitled for 600 Smelts.

We went apply our license online. 

$24 for a year (Resident)

$140 for a year (Non-Resident)

$20 Day License (Non-Resident)

One of the "professional" told us during the "peak" season

At least 100 000 smelts swim through the river bank every day
